Members of the Labour Party (PvdA) and D66 have agreed that it would be unnecessary to expect someone who has been vaccinated to quarantine for at least five days. “Let s follow countries like Ireland, Greece, Denmark, Spain, the US and the UK,” says Jan Paternotte (D66). “They all already have some form of exception for people who have had an injection.”
But Health Minister Hugo de Jonge has said it is “perfectly logical,” arguing that he would like to know more about whether or not vaccinated people can spread the virus before making a final decision on the matter. “There will come a time when we medically establish that vaccinees play a smaller role in the spread, I hope. Netherlands looking into authorizing AstraZeneca vaccine for those over 65

The Netherlands government has asked the Health Council of the Netherlands for advice on administering the AstraZeneca vaccine for Covid-19 to those over age 65.
That vaccine is currently only being used in the Netherlands for those aged 60 to 64, those with Down’s Syndrome, and the “morbidly obese.”
The government has asked the Health Council, an independent scientific advisory body, “to issue an opinion on use of AstraZeneca for those over 65 years old,” Tim Bennebroek, a spokesperson for the Dutch Ministry of Health, Wellness, and Sport told CNN on Wednesday.
