Hogan s order is effective Tuesday for state mass vaccination sites and next Monday for all providers in the state. The only caveat is for Marylanders who are 16 and 17, who will only be able to get the Pfizer vaccine. That is because it is the only shot approved for that age group. Originally, the state was supposed to make this move into the third phase of the vaccine rollout on April 27. But the timeline was moved up in light of an increased allotment of doses from the federal government and an expectation that that will continue. However, Hogan reminded Marylanders that eligibility and availability are two different things.
