Vietnam kicks off largest-ever vaccination campaign VNA
Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam has launched its largest-ever vaccination campaign, with more than 100 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine to be injected.
Vaccinations began on March 8 at the Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases and the Hanoi-based National Hospital for Tropical Diseases, and also in northern Hai Duong province, where the third coronavirus outbreak in the country struck in late January.
The Ministry of Health (MoH) said that with 117,600 doses in the first batch delivered in late February, this first phase was the beginning of the largest vaccination campaign in the country’s history.

Vietnam started providing COVID-19 vaccinations to health workers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and northern Hai Duong Province on Monday morning.
A
decision signed by Deputy Minister of Health Truong Quoc Cuong on Saturday showed that the 117,600 COVID-19 vaccine doses that Vietnam currently has would be distributed to 13 provinces and cities, 21 hospitals and medical centers, as well as the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of National Defense.
The process began on Monday morning at four locations in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Duong Province.

On the morning of March 8, the first Vietnamese were injected with Covid-19 vaccine at four places:
The Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City Hospital for Tropical Diseases in HCM City, the Health Center of Hai Duong Province and Kim Thanh District Medical Center in Hai Duong.
The vaccination started at 8am. Nearly 300 health workers who directly treat Covid-19 patients were the first who were vaccinated.
Three Deputy Ministers of Health – Mr. Tran Van Thuan, Mr. Nguyen Truong Son and Mr. Do Xuan Tuyen – were present at the vaccination sites for monitoring.

Vietnam has no COVID-19 case to report on February 28 morning
Vietnam saw no new COVID-19 case over the past 12 hours to 6am February 28, making the national tally unchanged at 2,432, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.
Among the total, 1,530 were locally infected, including 837 cases since January 27.
A total 1,844 COVID-19 patients have recovered so far, and the death toll remains at 35.
Among those still under treatment, 32 have tested negative for SARS-CoV-2 once, 50 twice and 100 thrice.
By February 27 afternoon, 10 provinces and cities had gone through 14 consecutive days without new locally-infected cases of COVID-19.
