PHILIPSBURG: - As of May 6th, there were three (3) persons who tested positive for COVID-19. There were zero (0) recoveries today. The active cases have increased to twenty-six (26). The total number of confirmed cases is now two thousand two hundred fifty (2250).
The Collective Prevention Services (CPS) are monitoring twenty-four (24) people in home isolation. Two (2) patients remain hospitalized at the St. Maarten Medical Center. The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 remains at twenty-seven (27).
The number of people recovered since the first case surfaced on St. Maarten remains at two thousand one hundred ninety seven (2197). Thirty seven (37) people are in quarantine based on contact tracing investigations carried out by CPS.
