The UN’s 26th climate change conference in November 2021, COP26, represents a huge opportunity to drive forward global ambition on protecting health by reducing emissions, strengthening resilience and adapting to climate change. As part of the COP26 Health Programme, the COP26 Presidency is working alongside WHO, Health Care Without Harm (HCWH) and the UNFCCC Climate Champions to engage countries and stakeholders on climate and health.A webinar on June 10 will provide an overview of the COP26 Health Initiatives on Climate Resilient Health Systems and Low Carbon Sustainable Health Systems. for its leadership in promoting environmental excellence, health and wellness. In 2018, the health network created a nutrition program for patients called Reshape Your Health. The program was designed to share healthy eating tips and cooking demonstrations from experts. The network also produces healthy menus, which feature plant-forward alternatives for patients.

Breakthroughs Summit a collaboration between the
World Economic Forum, Mission Possible Partnership, the UN
Climate Champions, and the UK COP26 Presidency to
demonstrate progress in critical sectors of the global

nature.

Healthcare institutions representing over 3,000 hospitals from 18 countries have joined the UN Race to Zero campaign, committing to halve their emissions by 2030 and reach net zero emissions by 2050.
