ABUJA – Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has said that the attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) for all Nigerians is at the heart of the human capital development of Federal Government.
He gave the assurance on the second day of the “Fourth Annual Legislative Summit on Health” with the theme “Universal Health Coverage and Health Security (HS): Two Sides of a Coin for an Efficient Health System” on Monday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the summit holds from May 23 to 25, convened by the National Assembly with support from partners.
Represented by the Minister of State for Health, Sen. Olorunnimbe Mamora, the vice president said that “the theme of the summit clearly suggests that there is connection between UHC and health security.

Kano State Executive Council has given approval for the implementation of new minimum wage for academic and non-academic staff of the two state-owned universities with a monthly release of N49,695,509.26 million.
It, however, said that accumulated arrears from the time of the approval of the new salary structure to date would be determined pending improvement of the current financial situation in the state.
The state Commissioner for Information, Malam Muhammad Garba, announced this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the council meeting held at Africa House, Government House, Kano.
