The Oklahoma City Zoo and Botanical Garden has ended its seasonal winter schedule early and is now open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
The zoo had implemented winter hours on Dec. 1, a first in its history, and the park was open to the public Thursdays through Mondays with no public access on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. By adjusting the zoo’s schedule and closing guest facing operations on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during the winter months, the zoo was able to reduce expenses while still providing care for its animals, a news release stated.
February also marks Healthcare Workers & Emergency Responders Appreciation Month at the OKC Zoo, and all health care workers and emergency responders will receive free general admission
