The Buffalo Bills may have fallen just short of making it to the big game after a fantastic season, but four healthcare workers, after what has been an extremely trying season and even crazier year, will get a chance to relax and enjoy some time off. According to WIVB, four local healthcare workers were surprised by a Zoom call, from Buffalo Bills co-owner, Kim Pegula.
The ladies were informed virtually, that they will be traveling to Super Bowl 55 in Tampa Bay. It has been expressed by many people in the NFL how essential workers have been the backbone of America during this global crisis. I couldn t agree more with NFL owners inviting healthcare workers to see the Super Bowl for free.
My hospital wards are still filled with patients struggling to breathe, ICUs are full, and we are still fighting the idea that this virus is not lethal.
Vaccination: How To Get the COVID-19 Vaccine
Posted by Staff | Jan 27, 2021 | News | |
When can I get a COVID-19 vaccine?
The vaccine is currently available for the following groups:
1a: Healthcare Workers and Long-Term Care Residents
1b: Frontline Essential Workers, Persons Aged 65 years and Older, People Living in Correctional Facilities, Homeless Shelters and Migrant Labor Camps, and Persons Aged 16-64 years with a high-risk medical condition or disability that increases their risk of severe illness from COVID-19.
Vaccine supply is limited. It will take time to vaccinate people included in Phase 1b. Local health districts across Virginia are working as quickly as possible to vaccinate people eligible for Phases 1a and 1b.
This will be the “New Normal.”
[The best case scenario is for the virus to mutate ‘down’ in malignance. Essentially become a new “super flu.”]

Meanwhile front line workers like me have had this and are exposed routinely. I would like to see an antibody study done on essential workers.
I will not get a vaccine. We should have our antibody levels/titers checked before we a vaccine is given.

One of my neighbors is in your boat. She manages the liquor department in a grocery store here in Tucson.
A year ago February, she and several coworkers came down with a nasty illness that was unlike anything they had ever had before. My neighbor even lost her sense of taste and, ISTR, smell.
