First District Offers Guidance to People Seeking COVID Vaccination
A coalition of medical providers in the First District Health Unit service area is working diligently to assure that the incoming COVID-19 vaccine is made available to people as quickly, efficiently and equitably as possible. Because the initial supply of vaccine will not be sufficient for the entire population, distribution of the vaccine is guided by the priorities set by the State’s Advisory Committee on COVID-19 Vaccination Ethics. The prioritized phases can be found at www.fdhu.org.
Private health care facilities and local public health are contacting prioritized groups to be vaccinated at this time. These vaccinations are given by appointment. If you belong to one of the identified priority groups, you may also be notified or contacted through your employer, agency, professional association or other group.

Flights from UK resumes amid scare about new coronavirus strain

New Delhi, Jan 8: Flights from the United Kingdom resumed today in a limited capacity amid concerns about the new strain of the coronavirus that was recently detected in the UK.
The first flight carrying 256 passengers arrived in Delhi today from London, airport officials informed.
The ban on flights to the UK was lifted on January 6. 30 flights will operate each week - 15 each by Indian and UK carriers. This schedule will continue till January 23, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri had informed earlier.
Passengers will have to take an RT-PCR test up to 72 hours before a flight and on arrival.
