MoPH announces that people can receive their vaccine dose via taxi at drive-through center

The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) had recently announced that individuals without access to a car can take their second dose in a taxi at the Lusail COVID-19 drive-through vaccination center.  Since people on foot are not allowed to take the vaccine, those who arrive at the drive-through center are required to choose a suitable car so that the vaccination process can take place. Individuals who do not own a car will be allowed to arrive in a taxi to receive their second dosage. Those who are scheduled to receive their second dose may go directly to the drive-through center on the specified day without the need for an appointment.

IATA Travel Pass launches in the Middle East

DOHA, 15 March 2021: Qatar Airways becomes the first airline in the Middle East to begin trials, 11 March, of the new IATA Travel Pass ‘Digital Passport’ mobile app.  It involves a partnership with the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Qatar Ministry of Public Health, Primary Health Care Corporation and Hamad Medical Corporation, starting 11 March 2021. IATA Travel Pass ensures passengers receive up-to-date information on Covid-19 health regulations at their destination country. It complies with strict global data privacy regulations to enable the sharing of Covid-19 test results with airlines to verify they are eligible to undertake their journey.
