LEXINGTON, Ky. (May 4, 2021) The University of Kentucky Board of Trustees on Tuesday approved the lease of space by UK Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) from Cardinal Hill Rehabilitation Hospital operated by Encompass Health. The space leased will be used by UK HealthCare to begin operating the outpatient services currently offered by Cardinal Hill beginning in the late summer or early fall. This agreement will not include or affect the inpatient or skilled rehabilitation staff or services at Cardinal Hill.
UK’s Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department utilizes a multidisciplinary team to care for patients who have severe neurological or musculoskeletal impairments with the goal of restoring each patient to their highest possible level of medical, psychological, social and vocational function.

WASHINGTON Currently, troops are not mandated to take the COVID-19 vaccine because it is being administered under emergency approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
Only fully approved vaccines can be required of service members. The vaccine is voluntary and we re using every avenue possible to provide information, said Acting Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs Dr. Terry Adirim, testifying Tuesday before the Senate Appropriations Committee.

April 8 (UPI) The Department of Defense is prioritizing distribution of COVID-19 vaccinations to individuals deployed overseas, officials said Thursday.
Army Lt. Gen. Ronald J. Place, director of the Defense Health Agency, told reporters Thursday that deployed personnel are being prioritized due to limited availability of vaccinations from local health providers, according to a Pentagon press release.
