The intern will specifically work in the area of Migration Governance. The intern will engage and manage partnerships supporting IOM in its role as the coordinator and secretariate of the Kenyan UN Network on Migration as well as supporting IOM’s role in the development of all relevant processes that shape Kenya’s approach regarding migration and promoting international cooperation.

The Resettlement and Movement Management (RMM) Division directs, oversees and coordinates IOM’s resettlement work and movement programmes, negotiates and maintains the Organization’s global agreements with air carriers, trains movement staff, administers various funds and mechanisms to support stranded migrants and refugee resettlement, backstops complex and emergency movement programmes and provides guidance and support to the Organization’s Field managers.
