High school basketball is scheduled for Saturday, as Mountain Home will play its non-conference games of the regular season. It will be the first of four consecutive road trips for the Bombers and Lady Bombers, as they head to Jonesboro.
Mountain Home’s girls are 1-9 on the season after falling to West Memphis on Tuesday. Jonesboro fell to 7-3 following a loss at North Little Rock. This will be the second meeting between the two teams, with the Lady Bombers falling to the Lady Hurricane on Dec. 22.
The Mountain Home boys have a record of 4-4. The Bombers are coming off a 12-point loss to West Memphis. Jonesboro is 4-3 on the year. The Golden Hurricane fell to North Little Rock in overtime on Tuesday.
High school basketball makes up the local Friday schedule, but the Mountain Home boys are no longer part of the slate. The Bombers’ game at Bentonville has been canceled. The teams are working to reschedule the contest.
Elsewhere, Cotter hosts Flippin, Yellville-Summit travels to Alpena, Ozark Mountain makes the trip to Deer, Bakersfield heads to Couch, Gainesville’s boys entertain Lutie, the Dora girls are home against Koshkonong, Viola travels to Shirley, Salem makes the trip to Lynn to meet Hillcrest, Calico Rock heads to Timbo, Izard County’s boys travel to North Little Rock, Mammoth Spring will send two boys’ teams to Maynard, Bergman makes the trip to Rogers to face Providence Academy, Valley Springs takes on Lincoln on the campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison, and Omaha hosts Kingston.
