Ledell Lee was arrested in the homicide of 26-year-old Debra Reese in 1993
Neighbors said they saw him walking near her home the morning she was bludgeoned to death, but no DNA evidence linked him to the crime
He was executed by lethal injection in 2017 at the age of 51
New DNA found on the murder weapon, however, belongs to an unidentified suspect and will be compared to new samples that are added to a database
Innocence Project and ACLU attorneys now hope it will lead to further evidence suggesting Lee was not guilty of the crime

ARKANSAS COVID VACCINE GOAL Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson has set a goal to have half of the state’s population at least partially vaccinated against the coronavirus within the next three months. Hutchinson on Tuesday announced the goal as the state continues to lag most of the country in vaccinations. We currently have 1,038,000 Arkansans or 34% that have received at least one shot, Hutchinson said. With that we want to be able to increase that to 50% and to do that that means that we have to have 467,000 more Arkansans vaccinated within the next 90 days to meet this goal.

Three additional states enacted legislation in recent weeks
barring the accumulator adjustment program cost sharing
framework. Accumulator adjustment programs seek to reverse the
impact of manufacturer cost sharing assistance for prescription
drugs by not counting amounts offset by such assistance toward a
patient s deductible. This can result in high patient
out-of-pocket responsibilities after the manufacturer s cost
sharing assistance has been exhausted. For this reason, both drug
manufacturers and patient advocates have sought to bar accumulator
adjustment programs on both the federal and state levels.
