Universal hits capacity 10 minutes after opening as crowds pack in
Just ten minutes after opening, Universal Orlando Resort said that they hit capacity at both of their parks.
ORLANDO, Fla. - Despite being in the middle of a pandemic, theme parks are seeing a sudden surge.
Universal Orlando Resort has hit capacity several times this holiday season before noon.
For example, Rachel Turner captured this shot outside of the park on Tuesday morning, Universal Orlando Resort hit capacity less than an hour after opening at 8 a.m.
BREAKING: Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure Reach Capacity by 11:00 AM
Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have both reached capacity once again today at approximately 11:01 AM. Universal Orlando Resort does not anticipate that it will reopen today. The parks last reached capacity on December 12.

Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have both reached capacity once again today at 11:20 AM. Universal Orlando Resort does not anticipate that it will reopen today. The parks reached capacity yesterday, December 19, as well.

New Universal Orlando hotel with nightly rates as low as $79 opens

ORLANDO, Fla. - Universal Orlando Resort says they have opened its newest hotel, Universal s Endless Summer Resort Dockside Inn and Suites.
The hotel opened on Tuesday. They said that the new hotel is the second value hotel at the theme park resort. There and at its sister property, Surfside Inn and Suites, nightly rates begin at $79 per night.
There are standard rooms and spacious two-bedroom suites available to rent. The resort reportedly also features a restaurant for casual dining, a lobby bar, a sunset lounge, two pools, and two pool bars.

In what is becoming a common weekend occurrence, both Universal Studios Florida and Universal’s Islands of Adventure have reached capacity once again today. The Universal Orlando Resort parks closed today at 11:24 AM. Universal does not anticipate that it will reopen today. The parks last reached capacity on December 5.
Universal Orlando Resort hinted at possible capacity issues in a tweet earlier this morning.
