Oregon reported 41 new COVID-19-related deaths Saturday, raising the state’s death toll to 1,799.
The Oregon Health Authority also reported 1,173 new confirmed and presumptive cases of COVID-19, bringing the state total to 132,412.
Vaccinations in Oregon
On Saturday, OHA reported that 16,117 new doses of COVID-19 vaccinations were added to the state immunization registry. Of this total, 11,332 vaccine doses were administered on Jan. 15.
Oregon now has administered a cumulative total of 189,190 first and second doses of COVID-19 vaccines. To date, 335,075 doses of vaccine have been delivered to sites across Oregon.
COVID-19 hospitalizations
The number of hospitalized patients with COVID-19 across Oregon is 365, which is 22 fewer than Friday. There are 92 COVID-19 patients in intensive-care unit beds, which is five fewer than Friday.

Two of Oregon's prisons reported in-custody deaths on Saturday, and both tested positive for the coronavirus Two Rivers Correctional Institution in Umatilla, and Deer Ridge Correctional Institution in Madras. At Two Rivers, the Oregon Department of Corrections reported that the inmate died on Saturday and was between the ages of 75-85 years old. The DOC said, department-wide, this was the 30th adult in custody who has died with COVID-19.
