VALLETTA, July 27 (Xinhua) Investors in large-scale renewable energy projects in Malta can now tap into a new 26-million-euro (30.8 million U.S. dollars) scheme aimed at helping the country inch closer to its target, Energy Minister Miriam Dalli said here on Tuesday.
Launching the new scheme, Dalli explained at a press conference that investors in renewable energy projects, including onshore wind, photovoltaic (PV) and solar of over one megawatt (MW) capacity will be offered a fixed price for the power they feed into the local energy grid over the next 20 years.
