M.A. Sriram   Mysuru’s first electric vehicle (EV) charging station was launched on the premises of the Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation’s (CESC) Corporate Office at Vijayanagar, near Hinkal, on Tuesday. Charging infrastructure for zero-emission vehicles in the city is all set for an improvement as two more stations will come up shortly at Kuvempunagar and Rajendranagar. This comes at a time when the number of EVs are on the rise in Mysuru with the entry of new variants to market in both two-wheeler and four-wheeler categories.

Grama Ujala Scheme: YS Jagan Govt to Light Up AP Villages With LED Bulbs Jan 18, 2021, 14:52 IST Four high-capacity LED bulbs will be provided to each household at a cost of Rs. 10 per bulb. A Chandrasekhar Reddy the CEO of State Energy Conservation Corporation said that they are providing bulbs in rural areas at Rs.10 per piece under Grama Ujala Scheme.  He further told the media that Grama Ujala Scheme is being mplemented jointly by Panchayati Raj and Rural Development Corporation in five different parts of the country.  India’s Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) is investing Rs 450 crore for this scheme. Chandra Sekhar Reddy said that the bulbs will be delivered to the following areas - Krishna (Andhra Pradesh), Varanasi (Uttar Pradesh), Vadnagar (Gujarat), Nagpur (Maharashtra) and Ara (Bihar).

EESL to implement Energy Efficient PNG Cook Stove programme across India

State-run Energy Efficiency Services Ltd (EESL) has inked a pact with Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) for implementation of Energy Efficient PNG Cook Stove (EEPS) programme, across India. The EESL, a joint venture of PSUs under the Ministry of Power, Government of India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with PCRA, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas for implementation of the EEPS programme on a pan-India basis, a statement said. The MoU was exchanged in the presence of Tarun Kapoor, Secretary (Petroleum an Natural Gas) and Chairman, PCRA, during the inauguration of SAKSHAM (Sanrakshan Kshmata Mahotsav) Campaign 2021, a month long annual event by PCRA.
