Abbeville Woman Dies As A Result Of A Sunday Crash
Louisiana State Police officials are reporting that an Abbeville woman who was unrestrained during a crash last Sunday has now died from her injuries.
State Police Troop I Spokesman Trooper Thomas Gossen says that 86-year-old Alice Abbott died from her injuries that happened on the afternoon of Sunday, January 3.
Gossen says that Abbott failed to yield to the other traffic when she was at a stop sign on Jacqulyn Street, and a truck ended up hitting her vehicle.
The woman was not wearing her seat belt. She was injured and taken to a hospital to be treated. Officials with State Police were notified yesterday by the Vermilion Parish Coroner s Office yesterday that the woman had died from her injuries.
