Alberta’s COVID-19 immunization program is well underway. Albertans should continue to protect others by continuing to follow restrictions and reducing the spread of COVID-19.
More than 75,000 Albertans have now recovered from COVID-19.
The number of recovered cases is 75,070.
1,301 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed based on 19,222 tests. The provincial test positivity rate is about 6.8 per cent.
821 individuals are hospitalized due to the virus with 146 of them in intensive care units.
19 additional deaths have occurred, increasing the number of lives lost in the province during the pandemic to 890.
There are 17,821 active cases in Alberta including 8,427 in the Edmonton Zone, 6,470 in the Calgary Zone and 1,391 in the Central Zone.
There are 78 active cases in Red Deer County, 36 in Rocky Mountain House, 33 in Mountain View County, 29 in Olds, 26 in the Didsbury/Carstairs/South Mountain View County area, 25 in the Three Hills Highway 21 area, 24 in Innisfail, 22 in Sylvan Lake, 18 in Crossfield and 7 in Sundre.
Alberta has recorded its lowest daily total of new COVID-19 cases so far this month.
1,021 new cases have been confirmed based on 14,304 tests. The provincial test positivity rate is about 7.2 per cent.
Unfortunately, more than 800 individuals are now hospitalized in Alberta due to the virus. There are 802 hospitalizations with 152 of those individuals in intensive care units.
11 additional deaths have occurred, increasing the number of lives lost in the province during the pandemic to 871.
There are 18,311 active cases in Alberta including 8,644 in the Edmonton Zone, 6,555 in the Calgary Zone and 1,462 in the Central Zone.
There are 84 active cases in Red Deer County, 36 in Mountain View County, 34 in Rocky Mountain House, 30 in Innisfail, 28 in Olds, 28 in the Didsbury/Carstairs/South Mountain View County area, 25 in the Three Hills Highway 21 area, 22 in Sylvan Lake, 17 in Crossfield and 8 in Sundre.
