This summer, the Oshkosh Public Museum is unveiling a unique exhibit - Titanic, the Wisconsin Connection.
There were over 50 people on the ship either from Wisconsin or journeying to the state as immigrants. The exhibition tells the story of 20 of those passengers.
One of the key themes of the exhibit is that immigration from Europe to Wisconsin. They were coming here to start new lives, said Jeffrey Taylor, director of collections, EM Group. They saw opportunity in lumber, dairy farming, everything Wisconsin was rich with back in those days.
