American brand Ashley Furniture was founded as a small family business in Chicago in 1945. Today, its products are sold by more than 6,000 retail partners in 123 countries.
The brand made it here in 2017 and is currently managed by Homes & Decor Superstore under the Japanese-owned Matsushita Greatwall Corporation (MCG).
It recently opened a 15,000 sq ft flagship store in Genting Lane.

More than a year ago, the City of Muncie Facebook page announced Old Navy would be returning to Muncie. The retailer had once occupied a space in Muncie Mall, but closed there about 10 years ago.
While COVID-19 appeared to slow down the opening process at its new spot at the Muncie Plaza strip mall across Princeton Avenue from Muncie Mall, things seem to be picking up again.
In recent weeks, crews have been working on the inside of the building. Old Navy posters and window decals are now visible on the front door and windows, and on Friday morning, it appeared fixtures for products were inside the storefront.
