ASHLAND Ryan Stroup shot Tina Goad multiple times and left her body in a wooded area before fleeing to a Cleveland motel.
That s the account Prosecutor Christopher Tunnell laid out Friday afternoon during Stroup s initial appearance in Ashland County Common Pleas Court.
Tunnell said Goad, 41, of Mansfield, died of multiple gunshot wounds.
The gun was found by detectives on Stroup in a Cleveland motel where he was interviewed during the investigation. The defendant has confessed to shooting Ms. Goad, causing her death, and has indicated that this is a premeditated killing, Tunnell told the court.
Goad s body was found in a wooded area off of County Road 1600, Tunnell said, after Stroup directed detectives to the location.
