HANOVER COUNTY, Va. There are appointments available at the mass vaccination clinic in Ashland for people in Phases 1a, 1b, or 1c who live or work in Hanover County. The County is currently scheduling the Moderna vaccine and some Johnson & Johnson with some availability this week, officials said in a news release Sunday.
People in those groups should call 804-365-3240 Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to schedule an appointment.
Hanover County makes special effort to vaccinate seniors
Hanover County is putting in a special effort to get all of their citizens 75 and older vaccinated.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. Health officials in Hanover County are having special vaccination events this week, hoping to cross seniors 75 and older off the waiting list. We want as many of our elderly population to get out here and get vaccinated this week, said Chickahominy Health District director Thomas Franck.
Kenneth and Zaida Lorente are two of the seniors Hanover County is working to target. The 82 and 86-year-old pre-registered for the vaccine about a month ago, and they recently got an email giving them the green light to make an appointment.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. A COVID-19 vaccination clinic opened Friday in the former Food Lion store in the Ashland Junction Shopping Center in Hanover County.
Officials said Hanover Countyâs vaccination team as well as Chickahominy Health District staff will vaccinate as many people as possible based on vaccine supply. The clinic will not be open daily and hours of operation will vary, depending on the week, and appointments will be required to get vaccinated, officials noted. No walk-in or drop-in vaccination opportunities are available at this time.

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WWBT) - Hanover County opened a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic for county residents on Friday afternoon.
The vaccination center is considered the county’s central clinic, and will be open multiple days a week with varying hours but will be by appointment only. There will be no drop-in vaccination opportunities available at this time.
Friday’s launch was part of two simultaneous clinics, with a combined goal of 800 to 900 administered vaccines, according to officials.
