“Covid-19 produced a huge amount of fear, anxiety and stress, but the resulting lockdown also created an unusual break in the norm and space to focus on things that otherwise might have been neglected,” she adds. “So we had people signing up ready to move forward with sobriety – and others who were really struggling with drinking and looking for strength to get ready to quit.” If these people are anything like me, they were probably worrying about their drinking long before Covid-19. This is because I’m good at my job and I always pack my children nutritious lunches and pick them up on time.
