Brisbane brand agency Type + Pixel has promoted digital specialist Danielle Shannon to a newly created head of digital role.
As the agency’s senior digital lead, Shannon (left) will drive digital innovation and best practice within the team, working across both brand and digital projects to deliver seamless experiences for clients. Her promotion follows a number of new project wins in the health and wellness sector for clients including Inner Health and healthcare technology platform Microba.
Shannon brings almost a decade of experience to the team, having worked in London as a digital and ecommerce strategist before joining Khemistry in 2018. She made the move to Type + Pixel in 2020, where her recent projects include leading the design and development of Roadset – a major Government-funded digital experience for the Australian Road Safety Foundation (ARSF) aimed at Year 9 students.

Queensland drivers who use Spotify in the car will be part of a trial safety program, which plays motorists messages urging them to slow down when nearing the stateâs school zones.
The trial uses Spotifyâs geo-targeting ability to track when drivers come within five kilometres of a school zone and plays them one of 10 specially adapted songs that contain a âslow downâ message.
The slow-down song initiative could be rolled out nationally if the Queensland trial gets positive feedback.
The songs, donated by Queensland artists and edited to include the school zone safety message, will be slid into motoristsâ chosen playlists and start once their chosen song has finished.
