Australian Institute of Sport Online learning modules developed by AIS, specialist medical practitioners, and high-performance athletes and coaches Two-time freestyle aerial skiing world champion Laura Peel says the conversations being sparked by the Australian Institute of Sport’s new Female Performance and Health Initiative (FPHI) will have a huge impact on the future success and wellbeing of female athletes. Peel added her voice and personal experience to a webinar held to launch the FPHI, which shines a light on female health and how it impacts the performance of athletes. The AIS partnered with subject matter experts and high-performance athletes and coaches to develop the suite of online learning modules that make up the FPHI.

Jake Lilley - 2021 Open and U23 Finn European Championship © Joao Costa Ferreira 98 days out from the Tokyo Olympic Games, Australian Sailing Team Finn sailor and Rio Olympian Jake Lilley (QLD) has wrapped up the 2021 Open Finn European Championships in Vilamoura, Portugal with a top ten finish in a world-class fleet. After ten races over five days, Lilley finished the event in a strong eighth place. Defending European Champion and dual Olympian Zsombor Berecz (HUN) won the regatta ahead of Rio Olympic Champion Giles Scott (GB) with Switzerland s Nils Theuninck third. The 2021 Finn European Championships saw 49 sailors from 29 nations battling it out on the waters of Vilamoura on the south coast of Portugal. Many sailors, including Lilley, used the regatta as a warmup event to the crucial 2021 Finn Gold Cup, the World Championships of the Olympic Finn Class, in Porto, Portugal in three weeks time.
