McGowan announces 14-day quarantine for NSW arrivals

The West Australian Premier Mark McGowan has announced that after midnight Thursday, New South Wales arrivals will have to self quarantine for 14 days and be tested for the virus on day 11.
Mr McGowan held a late emergency meeting with the Health Minister Roger Cook, WA Chief Health Officer Andrew Robertson, Commissioner of Police Chris Dawson and the Director General of Health DJ Russell-Weisz.
The decision came after NSW Health advised of a further 12 locally acquired cases, bringing the total number of cases to 17.

SYDNEY (Reuters) - Australian jobs surpassed expectations again in November, pushing the unemployment rate lower in a sign massive monetary and fiscal stimulus was bearing fruit after the country brought the coronavirus pandemic under control.
Figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) on Thursday showed employment jumped by a stellar 90,000 in November, following an equally impressive rise in October, and the jobless rate eased to 6.8%.
