One in four unvaccinated Australians over 70 are waiting for a different COVID-19 vaccine, survey suggests

The ABS surveyed unvaccinated people across different age groups on their reasons for not getting a jab. A third of respondents aged between 50 and 69 and one in four respondents aged over 70 said they were waiting for a different vaccine . Overall, about 15 per cent of all unvaccinated Australians surveyed said they were awaiting a different vaccine. But the survey also suggested a drop in vaccine hesitancy, with 73 per cent of Australians in June agreeing or strongly agreeing that they would get a COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available, an increase from 68 per cent in May.
