Hit 104.7 has made a slight improvement for the second ratings out of Canberra this year, climbing 1.9 share points to a 12.9% share.
The lift, however, was not enough to undo last survey’s catastrophic fall, where the station tumbled from a 20.% share to 11.0%.
The city’s recently crowned top station, Mix 106.3, meanwhile, added to its market-leading position, jumping from 17.6% to 18.3%.
Both stations are a 50/50 joint venture between Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) and the Australian Radio Network (ARN), known as Canberra FM Radio. Hit 104.7 is programmed in line with SCA’s Hit Network, while Mix 106.3 is sold as part of the KIIS Network.

Ben Fordham has lost the Sydney breakfast radio crown.Â

The radio presenter inherited an audience share from Mr Jones of 17.9 per cent when he took on the 2GB breakfast timeslot.
When Mr Fordham was handed the breakfast timeslot, having previously hosted 2GBâs drive show, he said he felt a âsense of both responsibility and opportunityâ.
The Kyle and Jackie O Show has dethroned 2GB s Ben Fordham to become Sydney s most popular breakfast radio show across both AM and FM bandwidths.
The KIIS FM duo s historic victory - the first time they can claim the No. 1 position in both markets - comes as Fordham s ratings continue to slide after he replaced talkback king Alan Jones as host of 2GB breakfast last year.
It marks another successful survey for co-hosts Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O Henderson, who last month took out their nineteenth consecutive FM top spot with a 12.9 per cent audience share.

From another network to K&J, the K&J team and ARN, well done! What an accomplishment. Genuinely a huge moment in Australian Radio.
SCA should bow their head in shame for letting them go.

Sydney radio ratings: Changing of the guard as Kyle & Jackie O overtake Ben Fordham
July 6, 2021 9:51
Kyle and Jackie O have become the #1 breakfast show in Sydney for the first time, with the Australian Radio Network (ARN) show breaking their own record share, set last survey, to hit a monumental 15.5% share (+2.6 percentage points).
The KIIS 106.5 breakfast show went ahead of Ben Fordham on Nine’s 2GB, ending the latter’s 17-year run at #1, and despite the Fordham arresting his falling momentum with just a 0.2 point drop to keep a respectively 13.3% share of listening.
ARN CEO Ciaran Davis said: “Kyle & Jackie O are the best in the world at what they do and seeing them secure the overall #1 breakfast title in Sydney is testament to that and fully deserved.
