The study’s authors said the results highlighted the irony that New Zealand and Australian taxpayers were paying for the escalating costs of chronic disease in Pacific nations – through aid funding – while Australasian companies profited from unhealthy exports to these countries.

Australia s flagship netball league is sticking with a largely unpopular two-point shot, but it seems there s little chance that will happen here as long as our top coaches have got anything to do with it. The two-point shot was announced by the Super Netball Commission weeks before the start of last year s Australian league, catching players and coaches off-guard. The Super Shot comes into play during the last five minutes of each quarter, giving shooters two points for every successful shot from a 1.9m zone within the goal circle.
The result is 20 times more predictive than relying on demographics alone, the company says.

Once admitted, many students now get messages from companies like AdmitHub, which advertises a customizable chatbot and text message platform that the company calls “conversational AI” to “nudge” accepted applicants into putting down deposits. The company says it’s reached more than 3 million students this way on behalf of hundreds of university and college clients.
