Bred to be a sprinter and looks the part. A relaxed individual and shows all the trademarks of being a good racehorse. This colt is also very well put together, a nice type. A fluent mover with intelligence to match. Furthermore, he is balanced with a lovely action.

Everything about him I like, nice clean skin on him. He would be a real contender for the 2yo race at Scone ($200,000). I am very happy to have him in the stable.
The Filly: CAPITALIST x POLISHED GOLD
A precocious filly that we just had to have and thought of highly by Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr. She was also rated highly by our Racing Manager, David Mourad.
Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr (trainers) comments: Here we have a gorgeous Capitalist filly. Sprinting filly, you’ll see her walk. She has a big strong shoulder, big strong girth. Very pronounced in the wither and knitted up in the knees, which makes me think she will get up and get going as a 2yo. Obviously, she is in the Gold Trail family, so she’s in a very good family. She’s very sprinting build. She has that fast twitch, big solid muscle feel about her. Big hind quarter, pretty tough head for a filly, which I like in my fillies. They need to have some of that strength about them. She is definitely a sprinting, strong good going type filly by Capitalist, out of a good fast family. OVERRATED OR GOING OFF EARLY
I mentioned last week I thought Aysar and Tagaloa were disappointing at Caulfield.
On Saturday I thought Crosshaven’s effort in the CF Orr Stakes was only so, so and up in Sydney North Pacific was just a pass and Ole Kirk finished third at short odds.
I m really starting to wonder if the boys are as good as we thought coming into this year.
Races like the Australian Guineas, the Randwick Guineas and the Rosehill Guineas might be more open than we thought a few weeks ago.

Career change? Legendary ex-jockey Jim Cassidy enjoying learning tricks of training trade

Cassidy has been working at the stables of Randwick trainers Jim and Greg Lee who are keen for the riding legend to join them in a training partnership. After retiring from riding in 2015, Cassidy has been in demand as a guest speaker at sporting and corporate functions but conceded he has missed working with thoroughbreds and the rituals of daily stable life.
