Part of a new two-hour documentary
Never-before-seen rehearsal footage from the Vicar Of Dibley is to be broadcast in a new documentary about the sitcom.
The Gold TV channel is to air a two-hour retrospective about the comedy, recorded during the making of the three mini lockdown episodes aired on BBC One month
Star Dawn French and writers Richard Curtis and Paul Mayhew-Archer have been interviewed for the show, entitled The Vicar Of Dibley: Inside Out, along with producer Jon Plowman, co-star James Fleet.
French said: ‘It was a total treat to revisit such a happy place and time for this documentary. Part of my heart is still, and forever will be in Dibley.’
Standing in for Steph McGovern
Bill Bailey is to make his live TV presenting debut tomorrow, standing in for Steph McGovern.
The Strictly Come Dancing champion will take over the lunchtime Channel 4 show tomorrow, as 38-year-old McGovern has been told to self-isolate.
Bailey said: ’It’ll be a little nerve-racking, go by in a bit of a whirl, but a lot of fun… a bit like dancing, I imagine.’
Guests on his episode of Steph’s Packed Lunch will include fellow Strictly star AJ Pritchard and his brother Curtis from Love Island; Bez from Happy Mondays talking about his new online workout videos; and Russell Kane, Miquita Oliver and Alan Johnson. The show will air live from Leeds at 12.30pm.
