The method of transmission of the new case  which is in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas  remains under investigation, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) said. Fifteen more cases were listed as resolved on Tuesday. As of Tuesday morning, there were 149 confirmed, active COVID-19 cases in the region, the TBDHU said.

Dr Bocking, HKPRDHU s new Medical Officer of Health started today

SHARE ON: Photo of new HKPRDHU MOH Dr. Bocking, courtesy of HKPRDHU This morning marked the first day in action for Dr. Natalie Bocking, our district’s new Medical Officer of Health.  Dr. Bocking spent four years working as a public health physician with Thunder Bay District Health Unit and Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority. She has been sitting in on meetings during the past few weeks, meeting with staff, and learning more about the area and the Health Unit’s pandemic response. Dr. Bocking is assuming her new role after former Medical Officer of Health Dr. Lynn Noseworthy retired in December.
