THUNDER BAY Starting on Monday, it will take a little longer to get inside Intercity Shopping Centre.
The mall on Sunday announced it will be limiting entry points to the shopping centre and will conduct active shopper screening on everyone wishing to enter the mall. The entrance closest to Marshall s and the entrances closest to the former Lowe s will be the only doors open to the public until the requirement to actively screen is lifted by the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. Sport Chek and Marshall s entrances will be open and they will be screening as well, reads a post on Intercity s Facebook page.

Sixty-one new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Thunder Bay district on the weekend.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) announced 32 of the cases on Saturday, and 29 on Sunday.
Saturday s cases included 22 that were due to close contact, six that had no known exposure and four that were still under investigation.
Five of Saturday s cases were in Indigenous communities, while the remainder were in Thunder Bay and surrounding areas.

More city schools now have cases of COVID-19 to report and two school are moving to virtual learning.
Lakehead Public Schools reports there are three positive cases reported at St. James Public School.
The board reports the Thunder Bay District Health Unit says there is no evidence the virus has spread in the school setting and it is not considered an outbreak.
The Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board tells us there is also an individual at Corpus Christi School that has tested positive for COVID-19.
The cohort at the school will remain home.
In addition the Catholic board indicates there is a second COVID-19 case at Pope John Paul II Senior Elementary School.
