THUNDER BAY – Passengers on a recent Air Canada flight from Toronto to Thunder Bay may have been exposed to COVID-19, public health authorities warn.
Those sitting in rows 11 to 17 on flight AC7932 on Jan. 25 could have been exposed, said the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.

GINOOGAMING FIRST NATION – A COVID-19 outbreak in Ginoogaming First Nation continues to grow, with band leadership tightening restrictions and awaiting support from the Canadian Rangers.
The number of active cases in the community, located just south of Longlac, grew to nine on Saturday.
The band declared a state of emergency on Jan. 23, after six cases were detected. Two have since been resolved.

Twenty-nine new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the Thunder Bay District.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit announced the latest positive tests on Friday, which brings the total over the last two days to 61.
The health unit said 19 of the cases are located in Thunder Bay and the surrounding area, with seven in First Nations communities and three in district communities.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says four are from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre outbreak.
There are currently 186 people still testing positive for the virus in the district.
Across Ontario, there are 1,837 new cases as of this morning, and 58 more deaths. The province is also now providing the number of novel coronavirus variants. As of today, it’s reporting there are 51 cases of the U.K. variant known as B117.

More new cases of COVID-19 in the Northwestern Health Unit region.
Two are in the Kenora area, three in Sioux Lookout and one in the Rainy River District.
There are now 21 actives cases in the Health Unit’s area, two within the Rainy River district.
Meantime, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirms 32 new cases on Thursday. Many are connected to outbreaks at the District Jail and Correctional Centre.
Ontario is reporting 2,093 cases, an increase after three straight days of declines.
In Minnesota, there are two new cases of COVID-19 in Koochiching County.
A total of 25 are active.
Statewide there are 13-hundred new cases.
