The Thunder Bay District Health Unit says four are from the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre outbreak. There are currently 186 people still testing positive for the virus in the district. Across Ontario, there are 1,837 new cases as of this morning, and 58 more deaths. The province is also now providing the number of novel coronavirus variants. New COVID-19 Cases For Health Unit And Northern Minnesota

More new cases of COVID-19 in the Northwestern Health Unit region. Two are in the Kenora area, three in Sioux Lookout and one in the Rainy River District. There are now 21 actives cases in the Health Unit’s area, two within the Rainy River district. Meantime, the Thunder Bay District Health Unit confirms 32 new cases on Thursday. Many are connected to outbreaks at the District Jail and Correctional Centre. Ontario is reporting 2,093 cases, an increase after three straight days of declines. In Minnesota, there are two new cases of COVID-19 in Koochiching County. A total of 25 are active. Statewide there are 13-hundred new cases.
