Bangladesh Air Force plane left for China to bring Covid-19 vaccines: ISPR Star Digital Report Star Digital Report
An aircraft of Bangladesh Air Force went to China this morning to bring five lakh doses of Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccine.
A press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) confirmed the information.
A C-130J transport aircraft has left for China around 8:12am to bring the Chinese Covid-19 vaccines, according to the press release.
On May 10, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Jiming officially announced the arrival of five lakh doses of the vaccine on May 12.

Women advancing in police, armed forces

The participation of women in the armed forces and police force of the country is increasing day by day and their contribution is also being recognised and acknowledged.
Apart from working in the UN peacekeeping missions, female police personnel are also engaged in challenging tasks like apprehending notorious criminals.
According to the Police Headquarters, women police are now doing various tasks and carrying light to heavy weapons. They are also working on traffic control. They are moving forward equally with the male personnel.
Md Sohel Rana, Assistant Inspector General (media) of Police Headquarters, said “The total strength of the police force is 191,295 till January 2021. The police currently have 15,163 women members, which is 7.92 per cent of the total police force. The ratio is gradually increasing every year.”

Several dignitaries paid tribute to the martyrs by laying wreaths on their graves at the Banani military graveyard on Thursday morning. Afterwards, a minute s silence was observed.
Family members of the martyrs were also present at the graveyard. However, they did not speak to the media.
The BGB has chalked out elaborate programmes in memory of the bloody day.
It will organise special prayer services at the central mosques of all the cantonments to seek forgiveness for the departed souls, the Inter-Services Public Relations Directorate said.

Bangladesh Army termed Al-Jazeera s report titled All the Prime Minister s Men , broadcasted on 1 February 2021 as false and fabricated, The Inter Services Public Relations Directorate (ISPR) has issued a statement rejecting the report.
