Ashrafi lauds govt for allowing new exam boards for seminaries

ISLAMABAD: Special Representative to Prime Minister on Religious Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi Wednesday said that that the government had approved 30-year-old demand of Madaris-e-Arabia Organisations, adding that registration of new examination boards will also be allowed.
“The decision relating to constitute new examination boards for the seminaries and the affiliation of the madaris with the Ministry of Education is an important achievement of the incumbent PTI government,” he said while addressing a press conference here on Wednesday. Tahir Ashrafi said, “We thanks Prime Minister Imran Khan and Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood for registering new examination boards.” He underlined that no changes are being made in the religious syllabus of the seminaries.

Interfaith Harmony Councils to be formed for addressing minority issues: Ashrafi

The Special Representative of Prime Minister on Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has said that Interfaith Harmony Councils would be formed across the country to address minority issues.
Talking to representatives of different schools of thought in Islamabad, he said that a Special Coordination Center has been set up in Islamabad to address the issues related to minorities.
Maulana Tahir Ashrafi said there is no space for forced conversions and underage marriages in Islam.
He said the incumbent Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government is protector of the Islamic Sections of the Constitution of Pakistan, Namoos-e-Risalat and belief in the finality of Prophethood.

Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Interfaith Harmony and Middle East Hafiz Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has said that no one will be allowed to make panic in the country on the issues of forceful conversions and underage marriages.
Talking to visiting delegates and representatives of different religions and religious sects at his office on Wednesday, he said that there is no space for forceful conversions and underage forceful marriages in Islam .

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman and Special Aide to Prime Minister on Interreligious Harmony and Middle East Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Tuesday asked the opposition to hold dialogue with the government on the issues of extremism, terrorism, inflation, corruption and electoral reforms as the PTI government can t be dethroned through sit-ins and long marches.
“The Nawaz Sharif government did not fall through protests and sit-ins of Imran Khan. Similarly, the Imran Khan government could not be dethroned through long marches and sit-ins,” he said while talking to newsmen after addressing the Provincial Youth Conference held here on Tuesday under the banner of Diocese of Peshawar and Church of Pakistan.
