Potential COVID-19 exposure in Sturgeon Lake First Nation

Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) public health officials are notifying the public that individuals who tested COVID-19 positive attended a wake and funeral in Sturgeon Lake First Nation when they were likely infectious. The wake occurred Dec. 26 and 27 and the funeral took place Dec. 28. Anyone who attended these events is being advised to immediately self-isolate if they have had or currently have symptoms of COVID-19 and to call HealthLine 811 or their community health clinic to arrange for assessment and testing.
