President Joe Biden has released his interim National Security Strategic Guidance to “convey my vision for how America will engage with the world.” Unfortunately, much of the document’s 24 pages are dedicated to topics such as voting rights, clean energy, climate change, and racial justice that are only tangentially related to national security. Still, it covers enough defense and foreign policy issues to give a good idea of where the new administration intends to head.

The document was issued after Secretary of State Antony Blinken delivered his first major speech underlining the Bidenâs foreign policy priorities.
The United States will continue to work with India and focus on the Indo-Pacific to deal with common challenges, President Joseph Bidenâs Interim National Security Strategic Guidance, issued on 3 March, says.
The guidance on national security, which calls out an increasingly assertive and authoritarian China, says the US will deepen its partnership with India.
The Biden Administration has said that by restoring US credibility and reasserting forward-looking global leadership, it will ensure that America, not a more assertive and authoritarian China, sets the international agenda, working alongside countries like India to shape new norms and agreements globally that advance its interests and reflect its values. The comments were made in the Biden administration s Interim National Security Strategic Guidance released on Wednesday. It lays out a vision for how the United States can seize what we view as a once-in-a-generation opportunity to renew America s advantages at home and abroad, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters at her daily news conference.

I’m reasonably sure, given their history, that there are at least a half dozen democratic Senators who would bloc with Manchin if push came to shove. Since he suffices as a public stumbling block and is willing to be vocal, they presently are happy to hide in his shadow.

I’m not sure how she would bloc on this one if she’s called out into the open on it.
