The Troika countries (the USA, UK, and Norway) and the Intergovernmental Authority on Development (IGAD) signed the October 3 Juba Agreement on Peace in Sudan as witnesses and guarantors at a ceremony at the Friendship Hall in Khartoum yesterday, in the presence of Sudanese Prime Minister Abdallah Hamdok, and the First Vice-President of the Sovereignty Council, Gen Mohamed Hamdan (Hemeti).

Mediation extends Sudan peace talks for one week SudanTribube.com
June 5, 2021 (JUBA) - The South Sudanese mediation extended for one week the negotiation for peace in the Blue Nile and South Kordofan between the Sudanese government and the SPLM-N al-Hilu. Dhieu Matouk Rapporter of the Mediation told reporters in Juba on Saturday that the negotiations will continue until the 13th of June pointing to the need to bringing views closer and addressing the outstanding issues .
Matouk further said that the mediation held separate meetings with the two parties to identify the sticky issues that the parties failed to agree on it.

Irrigation and Water Resources Minister, Yasir Abbas, has announced that World Bank has provided a grant of $500 million to the ministry. The Minister explained, today in statement to the official Sudan News Agency (SUNA) that he met World Bank Director for Middle East, Ousmane Dion and discussed with him the detailed procedures related to the implementation of the grant. He said the grant is divided as $300 million to $200 million for irrigation and water sectors, respectively.
The announcement of the grant follows a visit to Sudan by the Deputy Director of the World Bank, Hafez Ghanem, last week, during which he was received by Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council, Gen. Abdelfattah El Burhan, Prime Minister Aldallah Hamdok, as well as holding meetings with the Ministry of Finance about means of obtaining more funding fro
