VIRGINIA As the coronavirus places renewed importance on our access to safe, quality health care, a new ranking by Healthgrades has recognized 12 hospitals in Virginia for superior performance in the years leading up to the pandemic.
Among the Virginia hospitals that made the Top 100 list was Inova Fairfax Hospital, while Inova Loudoun Hospital and Inova Alexandria Hospital were ranked in the Top 250.
Healthgrades, an online health care information company, recently released its 2021 list of America s Best Hospitals. The annual ranking recognizes the top 1, 2 and 5 percent of hospitals in the nation.

Nokesville woman killed Sunday in traffic crash A 28-year-old driver died at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon near Catlett, according to state police.
The accident occurred at 2:35 p.m. on Bristersburg Road about nine-tenths of a mile west of Elk Run Road, according to Trooper Mark Brill.
âA 1998 Jeep Cherokee was traveling east on Rt. 616 (Bristersburg Road) when it was unable to maneuver a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree,â Sgt. Brent Coffey said in a press release Tuesday morning.
The driver of the Jeep, Ashleigh T. Mitchell, of Nokesville, died at the scene. Ms. Mitchell was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.
