INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) A 5-year-old girl was injured Saturday in a shooting outside a skating rink near West 38th Street and Interstate 465.
Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department were called around 6:07 p.m. Saturday to 3902 N. Glen Arm Road, the location of Skateland.
They arrived to find a “younger child” who had injuries consistent with a gunshot wound. The child was taken to Riley Hospital for Children and was stable, Officer Genae Cook with IMPD Public Affairs said.
Police at the scene confirmed the child was a 5-year-old girl.
No information about the circumstances of the shooting was immediately provided by police.

INDIANAPOLIS Police are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting that left two people injured on the near northwest side of Indianapolis.
The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said officers went to the 900 block of Roache Street at around 3:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found two people who were suffering from gunshot wounds. Both victims have been transported to local hospitals for treatment.
Authorities said one victim is in serious condition and the second victim is in stable condition.
