The event “included everything from a Model T Ford to the latest Mustang’’, Howie said. “The event is open to everything American. Anybody who wants to come is welcome, it’s not just for club members.”

Howie said about 25 cars took part in a cruise to Peel Forest following the gathering. Howie said the South Canterbury USA Classic Car Club was formed by Timaru car enthusiast Steve Brown about 11 years ago and has grown from there.
