The first of the big three chip-makers to have their CES 2021 press conferences, Intel has had a packed day of announcements. The company teased their next flagship desktop chip, the Core i9-11900K, as well as 500-series motherboards and 11th-gen H-series CPUs for laptops. Here s what you need to know - starting with the 11900K.
In some ways, the 11900K feels like more of a successor to the Core 9900K than the 10900K, as it drops back down from 10 cores and 20 threads to eight cores and 16 threads. In brief: Ubisoft s new subscription service has arrived on Google Stadia, which means you no longer need powerful hardware to get easy access to its latest first party titles. You won t have access to the full catalog available on PC, but essentials like Assassin s Creed Valhalla, Far Cry New Dawn, and Watch Dogs: Legion are there.
Last week, Ubisoft said it was willing to give gamers a $10 coupon if they wanted to play Hyper Scape, its take on the battle royale genre that never quite reached the publisher s expectations. And while that may only offer a temporary boost to the free-to-play title, it s also not the only good thing Ubisoft had in store for this month.

After the launch of AMD’s flagship GPU, the RX 6900 XT, today we take step down to take a look at another custom RX 6800 XT. In for review is the Sapphire RX 6800 XT Nitro+, a large triple-fan solution with factory overclocked core and increased power limit compared to the reference specifications. We put this card through its paces and see how it compares to both AMD’s reference design, as well as the PowerColor Red Devil.

Sapphire’s Nitro+ series has earned a well-deserved reputation for quality, with the RX 5700 XT Nitro+ impressing us when we reviewed it last year. Sapphire also produces slightly more affordable cards as part of the Pulse series, but we are told these models will be coming later.
