ROME, Jan 26 Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte is expected to quit today and try to form a new coalition government to tackle the coronavirus pandemic, which has killed more than 85,000 people in Italy and crippled the economy. Conte survived a confidence vote last week after a coalition.
Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte has handed in his resignation to the head of state, opening the way for formal consultations on how to overcome the political crisis, the president's office said.
