ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has categorically reject(ed) India s denial to take responsibility for last week s attack on the UN military observers vehicle near the Line of Control (LoC), the Foreign Office said Monday.

The Nepalese government has decided to conduct a census in Lipulekh, Limpiyadhura, and Kalapani areas of Pithoragarh, Uttrakhand. The development has come days after, the KP Sharma Oli-led government published a map showing these areas in Nepal. These maps were later shown in the Nepalese school books and coins as well. The census is scheduled to take place in May 2021.
Officials of Nepal s National Planning Commission and its Central Statistics Bureau say that these three areas are part of its country. Therefore, next year s census will also be done in these areas. They also allege that India has forcibly occupied these three areas. At the same time, the law officers of the Survey Department and the former Director Generals say that it is impossible to conduct such a survey because India will never allow the Nepalese authorities to enter those parts.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Pakistan on Monday categorically rejected a denial of the Indian Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to accept responsibility for targeting the United Nations Military Observers Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) by the Indian occupation forces.
The deliberate targeting of a UN vehicle engaged in discharging the mandate of the UN Security Council (UNSC) constituted a grave violation of India’s obligations, under the UNSC Resolutions and the UN Charter, which included the obligation to ensure the safety and security of the UNMOGIP Observers, the foreign office spokesperson said in a press release.

Pakistan’s military was yesterday on high alert in Kashmir as its prime minister warned India against carrying out any “false flag” operations in the disputed region after a UN vehicle in a Pakistan-administered area came under attack.
Pakistan blamed Friday last week’s attack on India, implying it was aimed at embarrassing Islamabad and harming relations with the international community.
India has denied the allegations.
The two UN observers in the vehicle escaped unharmed.
“I am making absolutely clear to the [international] community that if India was to be reckless enough to conduct a false flag operation against Pakistan, it would confront a strong national Pakistani resolve & be given a befitting response at all levels of the threat. Make no mistake,” Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan wrote on Twitter on Sunday.
UN vehicle targeted deliberately: FO
ISLAMABAD: As the United Nations on Friday confirmed that a vehicle of the UN Military Observer Group in India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) was damaged after it was hit by an unidentified object near Rawalakot on the Pakistani side of the Line of Control (LoC), Pakistan summoned the Indian Chargé d Affaires to the Foreign Office.
“Pakistan lodged a strong protest at the deliberate targeting of Observers belonging to UNMOGIP. It was conveyed that the reprehensible act also represented a new low in the conduct of Indian occupation forces which target not only innocent civilians residing along the LoC but United Nations Observers as well,” said the Foreign Office.
