NEW DELHI, Feb. 28 (Xinhua): India's space agency, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Sunday launched one Brazil satellite and 18 co-passenger satellites from its launching centre in south India's Andhra Pradesh state, confirmed an official statement.

ISRO PSLV-C51 Mission: Brazil s Amazonia-1 was among the 19 satellites launched today.

The Indian Space Research Organisation s (ISRO) PSLV-C51 blasted off the agency s launchpad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, SHAR, Sriharkota, today, a little before 10.30 am, carrying 19 payloads and ringing in its schedule for 2021 in all glory.
The 53rd Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) launch happened at 10.24 exactly as planned, carrying Brazil s 637-kg Amazonia-1, an optical earth observation satellite, as its primary passenger. This satellite would further strengthen the existing structure by providing remote sensing data to users for monitoring deforestation in the Amazon region and analysis of diversified agriculture across the Brazilian territory.
The launch of the PSLV-C51 occurred on Sunday at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre. The latter is located on Sriharikota Island in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh.
India and France have also signed an agreement to build constellations of satellites for maritime surveillance intended to identify and track ships in the Indian Ocean.
