Petrol, diesel prices unchanged for 2nd day after hitting new record high: Check fuel prices in metro cities on January 29, 2021

State-owned fuel retailers Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) had on January 6, resumed daily price revision after nearly a month-long hiatus. Since then, rates have gone up by Rs 2.34 a litre on petrol and Rs 2.36 in case of diesel.

IOCL, CPCL contribute ₹3 12 cr for vaccination drive

Updated: Share Article AAA Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. and Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (CPCL) have contributed ₹3.12 crore for the COVID-19 vaccination programme of the State government as part of their corporate social responsibility initiative. The funds would be used for procurement of ice-lined refrigerators, deep freezers, walk-in coolers and refrigerated trucks for transportation and storage of vaccines across the State. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between IOCL and CPCL and the State government towards this initiative. P. Jayadevan, executive director and State head, IOCL, signed the MoU with Health Secretary J. Radhakrishnan. IOCL has contributed around ₹10 crore towards COVID-19 vaccination programmes across the country, said a company press release.

In the national capital, petrol rates climbed to Rs 86.30 per lire and diesel s stood at Rs 76.23 per litre on January 27. This is the highest-ever fuel price in Delhi.
