ISLAMABAD, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) The Pakistani army said on Tuesday that a woman was killed in Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC) in the disputed Kashmir region.
An army statement said the Indian troops committed unprovoked ceasefire violations in Hotspring and Jandrot sectors along the LoC, deliberately targeting the civil population with mortars and heavy weapons.
A 50-year-old woman was killed while three citizens, including a 4-year-old girl, got injured, the statement from the army s media wing the Inter-Services Public Relations said.
The injured were evacuated to a nearby medical facility for treatment.
